Advantages
It has the following advantages:
(1) Superior mechanical properties: as the heart rod is made of epoxy glass fiber, its expansion strength is 1.5 times that of ordinary steel and 3 ~ 4 times that of high-strength porcelain, its axial tensile force is particularly strong, and it has strong vibration absorption ability, and its seismic damping performance is very high, 1/7 ~ 1/10 of that of porcelain insulator.
(2) The composite insulator string has good anti-pollution flashover performance: the composite insulator has hydrophobicity. When it rains, the umbrella-shaped corrugated surface of the composite insulator will not get wet and form a water film. Instead, it drops like a water bead and is not easy to form a conductive channel.
(3) Excellent corrosion resistance: the surface leakage and flashover of the insulator form irreversible deterioration and trace phenomenon. The general standard is not lower than grade 4.5 (that is, 4.5kV), and the composite insulator is grade 6 ~ 7.
(4) Good anti-aging performance: after ten years of practical testing, it is shown that the composite insulator has no change in surface non-wetting and electrical corrosion resistance, except that the color is slightly darker and the dielectric constant and the dielectric loss Angle are slightly increased, indicating that the anti-aging performance is good.
(5) Good structural stability: The general porcelain suspension insulator is an internal adhesive assembly structure. Due to electrochemical corrosion, low zero insulation resistance will be generated in operation, while the composite insulator is an external adhesive assembly structure, and its heart is solid rod insulation material. There is no deterioration combination and perforation, and no zero insulator will appear.
(6) High operating efficiency of the line: because the composite insulator has good wind and rain self-cleaning and does not produce zero-value insulators, the cleaning and inspection work can be changed to once every 4 to 5 years, so as to shorten the maintenance and power outage time.
(7) Light weight: the insulator itself is light in transportation and construction operations, which can greatly reduce the labor intensity of the staff.
