Product performance
Mechanical properties: insulators are often subjected to the action of gravity and tension of the wire, wind force, ice weight, insulator dead weight, wire vibration, mechanical force of equipment operation, short-circuit electric force, earthquake and other mechanical forces during operation. The relevant standards have strict requirements for mechanical properties.
Thermal performance: outdoor insulators require the ability to withstand sudden changes in temperature. Porcelain insulators, for example, require several hot and cold cycles without cracking. Due to the current passing through the insulating sleeve, the temperature rise of its parts and insulating parts and the allowable short-time current value must meet the requirements of the relevant standards.
Application
Pin-type porcelain insulators for high voltage lines are used for high voltage overhead power lines with power frequency voltage of 6 ~ 20kV to insulate and support conductors. The old type of insulator is divided into four types according to the rated voltage: 6, 10, 15 and 20kV. Each type of insulator is divided into two specifications: iron straight foot and wood straight foot according to the type of steel foot. The rated voltage of the new models is 10kV, divided into three types: ordinary type, reinforced insulation type 1, reinforced insulation type 2.
The insulator is made of the porcelain part and the steel foot (or screw sleeve) cemented with Portland cement and quartz sand adhesive agent no less than no. 525. The steel foot is cemented into the porcelain part and pressed with a deep groove to prevent the steel foot from loosening. There is an elastic pad between the top of the steel foot and the porcelain piece. The surface of the porcelain is usually brown or white glaze, and the steel foot is hot-dip galvanized.
