Product Description
Disc glass insulator is composed of iron cap (malleable cast iron), steel foot (low carbon steel) and porcelain parts (or tempered glass). The fittings and insulating parts shall be glued with cement. Disc suspension insulator can easily form insulator string. When forming an insulator string, the ball joint of the steel foot is inserted into the ball socket of the iron cap to become a ball twisted soft connection, so that the insulator string can only bear tensile force without bending moment and torque. The disc suspension insulator has simple structure and various geometric shapes, which can meet the application requirements of different regions. After being connected in series, it can be used on transmission lines with any voltage level. It is the most widely used insulator on high-voltage lines. The higher the grade of transmission line, the higher the requirement for tensile strength of insulator. The product model of disc suspension insulator does not contain voltage grade, but only mechanical strength. For example, XP-40 indicates disc suspension insulator, and the electromechanical failure load is 40kN.
